Dr. Steve’s Total Body Evaluation uses a metabolic analysis system that allows the type of personalization in physical activity (workouts) and nutrition only previously available to Olympians.

By analyzing 12 biomarkers in your breath, we measure your heart, lung, and cellular fitness, how “fast” your metabolism is, your fat-burning efficiency, how your breath affects your posture and brain, and your muscle’s ability to utilize oxygen. All with clinical-grade accuracy.

Body Composition & Mechanics

What you are made of and how you move can greatly impact your health, personal performance, and self-confidence. Accurately measuring body composition and body mechanics will quantify your unique body and help identify target areas to improve.

Body Composition

The Body Lab sees a distinct difference between body weight and body composition. Dr. Steve knows that it does not matter what you weigh, but instead, it matters what you are made of. Therefore, the focus is always on Body Composition because it describes the amount of muscle (total and segmental), lean body mass, fat (total, segmental, and visceral), bone, water (intracellular and extracellular) in the body. Moreover, these components can be positively impacted by the execution of your individual, data-driven plan developed by Dr. Steve.

Body Mechanics

The way you move and hold your body throughout the day or during specific exercise is called Body Mechanics. Good Body Mechanics starts with good body position and posture. This includes when we sit, stand, lift, bend, sleep, etc. Proper Body Mechanics can lead to more efficient movement and better personal performance. Poor Body Mechanics can cause back problems and other injuries, negatively impacting your quality of life.

Sleep & Rejuvenation

Without question, sleep is one of the most important keys to your health and performance. Knowing this, Dr. Steve realizes that an individualized plan must include your personal sleep statistics to address your level of rejuvenation. Specifically, quality sleep must include the proper balance of sleep cycles for muscle repair, skin health, memory consolidation, brain repair and regulation of hormones.
